Giving a character plush does not follow the same rules as giving an animal plush. Here, the character comes before everything else: before size, before material, before price. A Stitch fan will not settle for a bigger Mickey. It is the only category in the shop where getting the world wrong cancels the gift entirely.
The essentials in five points
- The right character matters more than the right size: the opposite of every other category.
- Sizes run from 25 to 120 cm, but not every world covers the same range.
- Large formats are concentrated in three worlds: Stitch, cartoons and cinema.
- A secondary character often makes a better gift than the hero, because it signals that you really know the world.
- These plush toys are designed for children old enough to play and for adult collectors, not for infants.

The criterion that matters: the secondary character
Here is the one rule that really separates a good gift from an acceptable one in this section.
The lead character is the default choice, and that is exactly why the recipient already has it. A fan of Lilo and Stitch owns Stitch. What they probably do not own is Angel or Leroy. A Mario fan owns Mario, not necessarily Luigi or Yoshi. A Harry Potter reader may have Hedwig, rarely Hagrid or the Monster Book of Monsters.
The secondary character says something the hero does not: I really know what you love. That is what separates a politely received gift from one that lands.
Sizes, world by world
Not every licence covers the same range, and it is worth knowing before you start looking.
- 25 to 35 cm: present everywhere. It is the most common format in the section, and the one people collect.
- 40 to 60 cm: available across most worlds. This is the gift format that produces an effect.
- 70 cm and above: concentrated in three worlds only. Sonic reaches 70 cm, Shin-chan 80 cm, and the Pink Panther 120 cm, which makes it the largest character plush in the shop.
Past 70 cm the constraints become those of any giant plush, described in our guide to giant plush sizes: floor space, no machine washing, and volume on arrival.
Two things to know before giving
Age. These plush toys are designed for children old enough to play and for adult collectors. They often carry attached elements, thick embroidery, accessories or decorative labels, which are precisely what regulations watch for with under-threes. How to read a label is set out in our article on plush safety standards.
Care. Character plush toys tolerate washing less well than animal ones, because their colours are more contrasted and their prints more fragile. The right method is in our article on machine washing a plush toy.
To browse the whole thing
All ten worlds can be browsed from the characters section. If the recipient is not a fan of anything in particular, the animal plush collection remains the safest choice, and the guide to Pokémon plush toys covers the best-stocked world in the section.
Frequently asked questions
What is the largest character plush in the shop?
The 120 cm Pink Panther, in the cartoon collection. Shin-chan at 80 cm and Sonic at 70 cm follow, in two different worlds.
How do you choose when you do not know the recipient's world?
Look at what they watch or play right now rather than what they loved as a child. And failing any information, an animal plush is a safer gift than a randomly chosen character.
Are these plush toys suitable for a baby?
No, unless a model is explicitly designed for that age. For a very young child, the comforter collection gathers models with embroidered eyes and no attached parts.
Are there character plush toys under 35 euros?
Yes, mainly in the 25 to 32 cm formats, among superheroes, Hello Kitty and cartoons. It is the best-stocked price band in the section.
